This is rooted in creativity and individuality and it is the potential to manifest inspiration without limitation. This is creation as a primal force.

This gate 1 in human deisgn is not about being the best. That is for the collective energy. This is about something new. No Best exists. It is new, individual. Individuality brings what is new and as such cannot lead, project, witness or reflect. It can only be what it is an individual. This energy transcend limitation. It can manifest anything because it is an original.

It is here in gate one that we have the relationship between the self and the ego. This is not about what the ego is claiming on the creative front. This is the unique direction of doing something nobody else has ever done. When we do something no one else has ever done mutation takes place. It is independent of the will.

This gate 1 in human design, in its optimal expression, are people who create something new. These are the artists, the creative, who innovate. They are people who are often very individualistic, and they hate to be told that someone or something reminds them of x. These are people who are often visually creative as well. I have yet to meet a gate 1 person who doesn’t have a very unique look to them.

The Depths of Gate 1 in Human Design

This is the impulse to express oneself creatively in the moment in a unique way. This is inherent creative power to bring new creation into form in the world. This energy is a powerful and penetrating force. These are people who take their penetrating energy and wield it to create something new that transforms.

Yet it is important to understand that whomever this energy meets in their life will often have an impact on them as a conditioning force. It is often very prevalent in this gate but it is true for all individual circuity. When individually is present others have no business interfering with that. When interference happens who you are gets lost. Collective is for sharing. Individuality is the ultimate empowerment.

Many artists – painters, sculptors, creators have this energy and it is apparent, often in how they dress, often with unusual color hair, funky outfits etc. They differentiate even in their clothing and appearance choices.
