The Sacral Center In Human Design

Let’s talk about the sacral center in human design, the source of all energy and action. This center is a powerful and complex motor center. All life on the planet is fostered by the creative life-force energy that originates within this center.

The sacral center fuels us to take action, to work, to move, to respond, to reproduce, to propel forward and to persist. The sacral is design to provide answers in the moment – to – moment. Regardless of being defined or undefined this center can be a source for major burnout especially when not cared for.

The Most Powerful Motor in Human Design

The sacral is source of drive and momentum that we feel to move forward. This is the most powerful motor in the whole chart. It is literally what keeps our species going forward since this is where creation happens. The sacral sets the standard for the energetic force and impact which the human race operates within. One of the features of the sacral center that is important to consider is that it has its own frequency. With 9 gates, it is the second most complex center in the chart after the throat. This center gives off a frequency and can speak through the sacral response via sounds or through physical action. It “speaks” as a burst of energy but only can ever emerge in response to others.

The themes of this center are sexuality, fertility, momentum, vitality, life-force aka doing energy and the ability to persist in spite of frustration.
